Hey guys,
About 45 minutes ago, a truck knocked over a telephone pole at the corner of Emory Valley and whatever road that other one is. It has resulted in a spectacular loss of power at the building I am in. On the fourth floor. Without AC. The temp has been rising steadily, despite efforts to close all of the blinds, shut off computers, turn off lights, etc. The other building (bet you can guess where I work now …. shh) has been evacuated. We, however, are too important, which makes my heart burst with pride, adding another degree to the heat in here.Â
I’m pretending I’m a little Malaisian kid working in a sweat shop, just without the crippling hunger pains.Â

The computers are MISSION CRITICAL, but air circulation is not. And, yes, it is pretty awkward.

Ever the resourceful one … I suggested that we rescue the ice cream from Oliver’s. It was yummy.
Our computers are on backups, and they passed out cell phones … but damn it was miserable hot!

You don’t HAVE to be a registered member to comment, just to not wait until I give my blessing. I had a problem with some really abusive comments from some assholes that wouldn’t quit, thus the moderation requirement. Anyway, I do believe that my comments were blocked here because the PC I was on is on a proxy server. Trying to post this will tell the tale, since I am at home now …

WordPress is OK, but it ain’t even in the same ballpark as ExpressionEngine. It’s kinda like comparing a little Toyota pick-up truck to a Ford E-350 dually Turbo Diesel 4×4.
