The Oak Ridger released the addresses of those poor bastards who aren’t putting their kids on the bus this year, and it pissed me off all over again about the whole thing.  The fact that my house is on the list for Glenwood notwithstanding (because he goes to Willowbrook, the point is moot), but what really bugs me is how callous the whole damn thing is.

What we have here is a pissing match between the city council and employees, and the school board, and its resulting in massive freaking inconvenience for everybody.  Lets hope inconvenience is all it is.  Lets hope that some kid crossing Arkansas at 7 in the morning isn’t mowed down by some sleepy parent trying to beat the 30 minute line to drop their kid off so they can make it to work, because thats my fear. Even the best case scenario is because there are going to be several hundred new car riders dropping off and picking up kids in the same little assed parking lots these schools have, they’re all going to wait a good while.  Either school won’t start on time, or parents (and kids) are going to lose another half hour in the morning (and probably an hour in the afternoon) so they can sit in the car.

Unacceptable.

Way to go Oak Ridge.  Thats a perfect example of bullshit politics.
