I am just now hearing that there is likely something to this … a history of innappropriate behavior. And administrative leave. And oh hell … I am just about as pissed as a mother could be.

We googled “Monty Koons” and came up with a fictional story set in Louisana. Funny thing was, there was a “alleged” child molester character named Monty Koons.
What are teh odds?

Daco, you know the guy now? I must admit, all I found on an extensive googling was that arrest, the fictional story (which was as weird as hell, and written in 2005), and a letter to the Observer bitching about how Stuart and some chick named Agle were screwing over that Beauchamp guy.

Yeah .. he was given a 30 day admin leave with pay because he put hands on my kid. The school basically blew it off. I’m pissed that the school and her dad didn’t tell me about this, she just told me last night.

She was living with her dad at the time. The school did their own investigation and apparently didn’t think her accusation was enough to go to the police with, but it was enough to give him some time off.

Yeah I knew the guy AT. He is my age and his brother is a year older. We didn’t really run in the same circle of friends, but their circle and my circle intersected once in a while. I would never have guessed that he would have turned out to be a 6th grade teacher. The dude was eating the books 30 years ago. Major league munchies.

Damn Lissa… thats pretty messed up. I’d be really interested in knowing what the school ended up finding out. Was it a his word vs her word thing?
If he has a history of accusations (because I’d be really, really suprised if we just HAPPEN to have the only other person accusing him of improper conduct on the website here), then that sheds an ugly light on the situation.

He was my fifth grade math teacher years ago. I’m not at all surprised. As to the school, I was sexually harrassed by another teacher at Jefferson, complained to the principal, and nothing was done about it. Inappropriate contact, and nothing happened. Not surprised that it took so long to get rid of a creep.

Marie, I’m worried to hear that. Our eldest is suppost to head to Jefferson next year. I have a feeling that Monty won’t be there then, but if the principal and staff are still as reluctant to act, then it’ll still be just as bad.

I’m sick of you guys attacking this man. You have nothing better to do in life than judge this man for something you don’t even know the details about? It truly sickens me to read what some of you people who’s lives he hasn’t touched completely deriding him. He touched my life and completely changed me for the better. I mean, shit, do you even see any attacks in this post? I had to reread it, because it was SO FREAKING LONG AGO that I forgot what I wrote, but even a cursory reading indicates that its written at a first grade level, and anybody with a brain in their head can see that.
But hell, since you brought it up, dumbass, the details ARE out, the guy plead GUILTY to messing around with a fifteen year old, so I don’t think character has much to do with it. I mean, hell, Chuck Manson was chock full of character, are you going around defending him, dumbass?
