It’s Day 4, the media is just getting started, and I’m already sick of hearing about it.
That is all.

So you generate a post to solicit comments on a subject that you are tired of hearing about? Hope that strategy works for you mate.

Are you saying that the media is making too big a deal of the Foley mess or are you saying that this issue is being used as a political grenade? Or are you just saying that you are tired of hearing about it?
October 4th, 2006 at 8:01 am
So AT, what do you think of this Foley mess man?
October 4th, 2006 at 8:17 am
I think that the problem with the media in this day and age is that with 24 hour news, global communications, personal publishing, all this stuff, theres no reason for the media to go ape and overexpose something like this.
Yeah, its a sick bastard in congress. Theres probably a sick bastard where I work, statistically speaking. There might have been one in the schools (BTW, what the hell is going on with the Koons thing?)

Foley wasn’t he a country-western singer? http://www.countrypolitan.com/bio-red-foley.php

I thought he was a wrestler?

“Theres probably a sick bastard where I work…”
No doubt…

But seriously folks…
Obviously Foley is a degenerate that has no place in public service. IMHO the volume of this “news story” has more to do with the fact that there is an election only weeks away, than it has to do with moral indignation.
Frankly I’m not convinced that there is anyone in Washington, DC that has more than a spoonful of soil with which to build a moral high ground.

So are you saying you subscribe to the thinking that the GOP kept this up their sleeve to play now in order to deflect war criticism?
October 4th, 2006 at 10:21 am
No. Hardly. They aren’t that smart…or stupid.
Right now they are praying for war criticism.

I would like to point out that in a news report I heard about Foley, the reporter stated “Foley was molested between the ages of 13 and 15 by a member of the clergy.” I about ran off the road when I heard that. They made sure to point out that that was not an excuse, but… They had to find some way to blame a priest, right?
October 5th, 2006 at 4:28 pm
So far, they’ve blamed alcohol addiction (when you’re drunk, you’re more honest, right?) and priests.
AP and Fox news have both “accidentally” called him a democrat. Which I find immensely interesting.

Here you go….http://www.drudgereport.com/page.htm
For fodder for this nasty mess.

Dude, he’s a perv and a sick puppy. I think thats pretty much entirely established.
On other notes, underage pages, are they common? Like, under 18? Really?
October 6th, 2006 at 2:08 pm
“I think thats pretty much entirely established.”
Sounds like you didn’t read daco’s link. Drudge is insinuating that Foley’s victims were just playing a prank and that it is Foley who was the victim. Cheap smear. Wonder why daco would link to it . . .
October 6th, 2006 at 2:15 pm
Yeah, I read the thing before Daco linked it, and it doesn’t really mattere if its credible or not. Hell, it may well have been a prank, but it doesn’t make any difference if it was, way I see it.
