Our awesome communication skills.

October 11th, 2006 by Atomictumor

Today I’d like to discuss the awesome communication skills that are demonstated by the house of ‘Tumor, most notibly myself, but GAC as well.

One would think that being at the helm of a world class media organization like Atomictumor.com would require the utmost in not only speechcraft, but the dedication and wherewithal to apply those awesome and mighty skills on a daily, nay, hourly basis.

The sad truth is, I’m lousy at communicating.

Take this wedding renewal thing. What renewal thing, you ask? The one we mentioned back in July, and not really ever again. Unfortunately, we haven’t really mentioned the thing to any of the other pertinent players, like Ericka, who is working up a bitchin’ cake, or my family, who is hosting the thing, or Megan, who’s taking photos for free (I haven’t talked to her about this at all, actually).

Well, so the thing is Saturday, and so far its not entirely prepared for.  Now, I’m not stressing over it, because there really isn’t much preparation necessary, but I understand that others have been stressing while waiting for word from us.  I regret that.

This leads me to wonder exactly why I’m so slack?  Well, I think that sweet lady depression has laid her cool cool hand on my forehead to a small extent, because I’ve been feeling generally blah, and as such haven’t had much to say.  You may have noticed it on the Tumor this week, as I’ve not posted much.  Of course, this week I’ve been hanging out with the boys at home, and enjoying myself, so that may be part of it as well.
C’est la vie.

Anyway, there you go.

Could be irregularity. Have you tried a laxative?

  2. Nodbob Says:

Could be the lack of a real keg at bash as well. I believe a ‘pony’ keg was bought.

  3. GoldenAppleCorp Says:

    Bah, pony keg.
I wish the purchase of beer had been put off until we got down there.
You know, to ensure only the good stuff is purchased.

Hey, I’m looking forward to this shindeeg. I appreciate you asking me to be involved in it and all. Are there party favors… a piniata? Is GAC going to toss a bouqet? Perhaps AT should toss the bouqet, since it is a renewal.

  5. daco Says:

Better yet, will AT be wearing a garter belt and holding a piñata while GAC throws a bouquet?

[…] I’ll be sorry to miss AT & GAC’s renewal of vows tomorrow, but I wish them a marvelous weekend and decades of marital bliss to come. Hubby’s and my 19th wedding anniversary is coming up in about 12 days, and I can easily say this: marrying the right person is the best thing in the world. We have more fun together now than we did when we first fell in love, or at any time since. So, although I won’t be at the farm this weekend, I’ll be raising my glass to them nonetheless.
