Stash away a giant ziplock full of stuff to give each of the boys when they get married. A pin, a handkerchief, something to involve her in their weddings.

J - Not sure if you've always been domesticated or not but I have tons of quick / easy recipes....and occasionally I don't burn one (i.e. cooked new recipe in crockpot last night and forgot to turn off, woke up this a.m. to smell of something cooking uh make that burning).
I know you went to SSI office the other day - but go back when you can, it may be a delay on when the "survivor benefits" will kick in depending on the time but it comes in nice and- oh, oh, oh let's not forget the parting gift for the "surviving spouse", the ever so small token award for our trouble.
I know you get the humor.....light, right?

BJ always could cut hair. When she cut mine I didn't even have to sneak off to have it straightened and that was 10 years ago. It's those gifted hands she has. I loved seeing her art work last night. Just let me know if you need help with anything (the house) or what foods you like (so I can cook some freezer meals for you).

Tonya, thats one of the benefits of our relationship, is that I was the cooker of the family. BJ was a bit more in the cleaning/organization side of things, but the whole keeping food in the belly thing was all me. That won't change, and its a good thing.

Lord help - I am ALL of them; didn't say I was good at ALL of them but I try. I did burn oatmeal in the microwave the other morning - still trying to get that smell out. I digress. Well, social services hasn't been to see me - yet!

See, I went to SSI to do this last Friday, and made an appointment for 12/6. By then, I should have the death certificates and whatnot. I'm OK for monies until then, I'm sure.

Cathy, it never would have occurred to me to save little thingys for the boys, but I think that's an awesome idea. Pay attention to that one, AT. And put that cheesecake in the freezer for me. Or there will be hell to pay.

apropos of nothing anyone said: Here is another kindred spirit; I think and wonder - do people who cross over at the *same* time, and are the same level, have a kind of orientation. . .(these are his words last week: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/6180262.stm)
And I think that the goodness of a person defines their level.

Thanks, jen, but I must confess, the mohawk I'm only renting from some guy in NY. Sort of like a time-share thing, it's a giant wig made of bear fur, I think...but you can have it next for the small price of 24.95 a year.

I just got done cleaning the bathroom. It seems that I just swish the scum around and it resettles where it likes. It is so John Paul Sartre. Are the chemicals killing me or are the killing the critters they are supposed to be killing? Critters be damned -- it smells like a lemon lime fruit land in there now -- in spite of the spots of drywall compound I have yet to sand, prep, and paint. AT -- I don't have a bike tire -- everything else is a possiblility. Although I do have a bike behind me that was supposed to accompany me to work so I could be a healthy sort of guy and ride it around campus. It, huh, did not happen. Just got back from IN. Wonder Girl benifited from a portable DVD player. She is spoiled but my ears felt so much better when we got there. There was no screaming induced blood coming from my ears after 6 hours in the car and I was in a down right cheery mood when we got to my Mom's place.

that was weird. I left a comment. cyberspace snatched it up. oh well.

I think I said something about hamburger helper sounding really good right now (Turkey overload is really gettin' to me) and...um, I make sure the house it "clean" but organized and tidy? not so much. I have to choose my battles, and why organize toys when they'll be strewn all over again in 10 minutes? No thanks, I'd rather preserve some of my sanity for other issues...like blogging?!

Just glancing over those pictures--good grief AT, your parents do not at all look old enough to have a kid in his late 20s. I guess I just pictured them older-looking. Maybe aging well runs your family; if so, you're lucky!
