Grits?! I’m one of the few that loves some grits … with sugar of course … or cheese …
And milk, they say, does a body good!

So the period of the orange for breakfast has past, I’m assuming. That looks like some hella good breakfastin you got going on there…

Well, next to my pancakes and maple syrup (Canada eh?) this fine Sunday morning, this looks a mite finer… And hey, can I ask a question of you southern yanks? This might sound pretty ignorant, but I’ve always wondered… what the heck are grits anyway? And how common of a breakfast food is it down there? Anyway, I’m glad you’ve always been the cook in your marriage AT, as that’s at least one area of your new life you don’t have to start from scratch.

Grits are corn, if I’m not mistaken, ground up. Maybe. They’re good, but NOT WITH SUGAR, Pam’ella. Thats wrong, and immoral. They’re good with salt and butter. Yes.
I guess its a southern thing, but it goes so well with eggs.
But I’m still way full from that breakfast (too full) so I don’t wanna talk about it anymore.
Jen, its a weekend, thank you. The orange and coffee are my weekday things. Hmmph.

Hey — if you’ve eaten and orange every day for breakfast for a couple of weeks, the occasional real meal isn’t going to hurt you. Especially with the ab-killing sit-ups.
December 2nd, 2006 at 2:53 pm
And OMG, they still hurt. I tried to do some this morning, and the blinding pain involved in the first one told me that mebbe I should take the day off.
It also called me a pansy, so I cried and waved my limp little wrists.

LOL! No you go past the blinding pain and then you do 20 more and then … the next day when you can’t move at all…. That’s when you cry.

Do you fry your eggs in the meat grease? My husband loves that!
December 2nd, 2006 at 7:33 pm
Eggs fried in MEAT GREASE? Just saying that makes my arteries harden!

Now that is a well balance meal — why was I not invited . . . =(

good lord is that grits??? I love me some grits. g.r.i.t.s. girls raised in the south - that’s what the folks at the ol’ Cracker Barrel say anyway. I guess I’m authentic.
