Bos and I are total holiday nerds. We go all out. Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving, garlands, lights, music. Granted, by December 26, I'm totally ready to get rid of everything, but I enjoy the Christmas spirit while it lasts.

I have left lights ups before until WAY into the summer. I claimed it was because my young dtr loved them so much. I truth it was because I am lazy, but there was another year I took the tree down on Xmas Eve because I was tired of looking at it and wanted to vacuum under it. Hey, do those two even each other out? Cool.

BTW, don't worry about us judging you. It's your 'tumor and we are just trolling. Vent away. It's better than taking a gun down the McDonald's and shooting up the place. People need to understand that sometimes somebody just needs to vent.

Nice to have you back. I don't like decorating for Christmas any more. I used to like it when I was a kid, but I think it was because I associated it with the imminent receipt of nifty presents. (And Mimi's perennial gift of sheets). I do like the smell of pine trees, though

We are that kind too. You are not alone. ;) We went to a holiday band concert at school last night, and it brought a surprising amount of cheer - I hope your son's show does the same for you. :)

Sorry, this doesn't fit in with Christmas trees (except as a gift under one) or oranges, but kind of fits with computer stuff. I was going to email you this site, but can't find the link for your email. Oh well. Have you seen wiiwehaveaproblem.com?

We decorated although we didn't do it last year. It is helping this year. Each ornament on the tree has special meaning this year.

We recycle our trees here in Louisiana. They toss them off the coast into the Gulf to TRY TO PRESERVE the coastal wetlands that protect Louisiana. As many of you know, without our coastal wetlands, things like KATRINA come and plow us down. As happened. No La. coast, no protection, no safety. Here's the glitch, now that Katrina plowed us down, we no longer have recycling - of ANY sort. Yea, it's good to live in Louisiana. With the likes of ol' Billy Jefferson getting re-elected, things are gonna look up FOR SURE!!! (none of us are holding our breath)

Yeah, AT, that tree did stay out in your backyard for a long time. I think some woodland creatures made it their home for a little while.

I cracked up when I read that Bill Jefferson story. Ain't no politics like Southern politics, eh?

I think I can beat 'em all: I never took down our Xmas tree light holders out on the gutters from last year. It's such a pain in the ass to get 'em up and down, we figured What the hell. This year we put the lights out on stakes in the front yard, being too...lazy...to even get out the ladder...
