for those of us which would be considered new additions to your "_log", these are more than just memories, although beautiful memories they are. They are also introductions. Well for me anyhow. I feel as if I am getting to know GAC and AT (and CO) For me, a beginning.

Thanks, AT. This was a fun read. Brought back a few memories of my own, which is what good writing does.

Ericka, the Radiohead story is linked.
And noooo more food. That goes for everybody. I had to clean out the fridge yesterday and threw all sorts of stuff away because theres not enough appetite to eat it!

Beautiful memories. Funny how sometimes hardships don't look like hardships in retrospect. Your descriptions of BJ's personality are so vivid - I can see her in my head.

I had those days - in fact, I think we (me and my ex-live-in) lived on even less than $5K a year - and with no foodstamps (no kids means almost no public assistance). I seriously had to slingshot squirrels off the front porch to eat. I worked at a cosmetic counter at Macy's - he was a mechanic's assistant, picking up under-the-table money. Despite the fact that I was dirt poor and was living with a complete ass, I have an odd fondness for those days. Life was simpler - knowing you can't afford most things gives an amazing amount of freedom.

You don't need me to tell you this, but having that second kid was a great decision. I wish we could add to our family, but we are one and done, short of a miracle of nature.

this has me inspired. not just the story but the evocation of particulars out of it that relate to this, here.
and the timeline thing, for putting it together. i am inspired and will probably get back to you on this. and the God part, too, as i have some important clues.
