Christmas at the farm

December 18th, 2006 by Atomictumor

Well, we headed to the BBF a little earlier than expected, on account of it sounded like a good idea.  Still does.  I figure we’ll be sick of the place before Christmas, however, so I’ll have to figure something out to do with myself.

Today’s been good, but I’m mighty tired from being up as late as I was last night.

Signal Mountain Nursery has the prettiest poinsettas in the state. Eat some bbq at Way Crazies while you’re up there.

  2. Atomictumor Says:

Yeah, but Signal Mountain is a long honkin drive from here!

Have a good time…let’s try to get together for dinner or something when you guys get back.

“Long Honkin Drive”, LOL it has been forever since I have heard that phrase! Brought back some good memories.

Just wanted to say will be thinking of you and the boys at Christmas, AT.

By the way - I will be in Chattanooga for Christmas this year, out St. Elmo. I’m guessing that’s pretty far from the BBF? But if you just want an excuse to get away from it all for an hour or so, you are more than welcome to drop by Christmas afternoon, we’ll have mimosas, beer, and munchies. If interested at all get with me and I’ll give you the 411. I’ll also be at the Chatta. airport around midnight Christmas Eve but don’t expect any fool in their right mind but my sister and brother-in-law and me to be there!

Anyway, if not this time some other time, hope to get to say hi and buy you a beer, coffee, whatever someday. But again, seriously, if you just want an excuse to get away for a couple of hours and it’s not too far, come on into town. We’ll just be hanging out vegging for a few hours post-presents and pre-dinner.

Have a great time at the BBF with your family. My dad finally got home from India on Sunday so my family is now complete for the holidays. I still have a ton of x-mas shopping to do. Ugh. I would have had it done but we got about a foot of snow around the first of Dec. So that was one less shopping weekend for me. Take care!

Lynnster, on the Christmas I’m gonna be back home, I’m afeared. It is fated that we shall never meet in the flesh. I think its Whitey keeping us down.
That happens, from what I understand.

Eh, no biggie, AT. I’ll be up in Knoxville sometime or another and if nothing else I’ll make a point of stopping in the Ridge just to say hey when I do. You guys have a great Christmas if I don’t talk to you again before then!

My favorite Christmas show (please don’t judge me for this!) is the Garfield Christmas. You are like John and the boys are like Garfield and Odie and you’re all back at the farm for Christmas. It’s so yummy. The Three musketeers. Also yummy. In chocolate form. The Three Amigos. Can’t imagine them ever being too yummy,,,,,,The A-team minus Mr. T,,,,,,,there must have been an episode where they had Christmas at a farm. Before blowing up the barn, and various farm implements. I get a warm and fuzzy, fruitcake sort of feeling, thinking of you all there. Merry Christmas boys.
