The Missus just revealed to me that she does not really like the Peanuts Christmas album.

Oh, the horror!
She even admitted to skipping the songs when they come up on the computer.
All this time I thought we shared a love of that album. I don’t know what to think anymore.
(Hee, hee… one just came up in the que.)

You know thats grounds for divorce right? LOL (joke!) Let me guess, you have already named your unborn child Charlie Brown?? That would be cool, or little Peanut. Hmmm….I use to have the Red Baron Snoopy Album when i was a kid!

Bos, I’m so very sorry. There has got to be some kind of support group for people in just this situation.
(I have all the Charlie Brown Christmas figurines that I use as decorations all through the winter months.)

Stop that incessant Schroder plinking. Sounds like early disco. ;)

I WILL MARRY YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just give me a little while to figure out the slightly tricky situation of the husband and three kids I already have and adore and I will listen to the album with you EVERYDAY! Even in July. I love the Peanuts. The music is key. I’m so sorry she’s missing the joy. Ah well I changed my mind about getting married. I wash enough undies already. Bleah.

My peanut gallery support group.
A Red Baron Snoopy album? That must have been nice. I wonder if you can still find it? Probably so on ebay.

The Chipmunks could beat up Charlie Brown any day of the week. :)

Gasp! The horror!

Gotta have the Red Baron Snoopy Album… We use to play that over and over again on Christmas while racing our slot cars and having fun…

Who is “the missus” again? Around here it usually refers to “the wife”.
As for Snoopy and the gang I am a HUGE fan! My daughter’s nursery had Snoopy and Woodstock as it’s theme : )

The Red Baron album has Snoopy in a Red plane wearing a scarf and I think goggles flying. The album cover is mostly red in color.

Jenn, The Missus is my wife, aka Mrs. Eaves.

Bos, I’m sure you’ve learned by now that it’s not wise to agitate a (very) pregnant missus.
Maybe throw on some headphones for the peanuts stuff, and let Mannheim Steamroller or the Trans-Siberian Orchestra play out loud… or whatever her favorite is.
December 22nd, 2006 at 8:14 am
Oh man… it is tragic what they don’t tell you until after you say I do.
…and I thought Eaves was a woman of great taste. (shaking head)

I’m so sorry. I love that music. Have you heard the Asylum Street Spanker’s “Linus”? It’s wonderful.

…slinking away…

Awww, come back my Missus.

First time unlurking to say that I recently taught my 6 year old son “THE DANCE”. Any one who’s ever seen “A Charlie Brown Christmas” knows what I’m talking about. He’s a master at it, and we nearly pee our pants when he breaks it out..LOL.
December 22nd, 2006 at 10:22 am
I’m with you, Eaves. I like maybe one song on the album, to be played once and only once a year. The rest I could skip in entirety.
December 22nd, 2006 at 12:12 pm
“queue.”
December 22nd, 2006 at 12:36 pm
Don’t know abot the album but if it’s the music from the TV special I could listen to that all year round!!
I do the twins’ dance from the special!!It’s kind of a modified pony.
Love it!!

You will learn to live without it just to please the Missus. You don’t want to be accused of spousal abuse for making her listen to it.
December 22nd, 2006 at 2:37 pm
OH! I’ve got it.
Tell Mrs. Eaves that that if you play it backwards it has messages that induce labor!
She’ll listen then.
Of course, next year you might have a problem.
December 22nd, 2006 at 2:45 pm
The problem with it lies in the overplayage.
…but does she really skip even the lesser-knowns? Because Peppermint Patty makes me wish my name was Peppermint.
December 22nd, 2006 at 4:06 pm
Yeah, I’m chiming in on Eave’s side here, I’ve never liked Peanuts…
December 22nd, 2006 at 11:19 pm
My sister and i had twin beds with Charlie Brown On Them, Lucy on the side, all kinds of Peanuts cartoons. We had Charlie Brown Birthday Cakes Too. I can’t believe anyone could not like Peanuts. Maybe she meant “Penis”

Sorry, I didn’t notice it was posted by someone other then AT. I was worried he was talking to a ghost ; ) hehehe

I don’t have anything against Peanuts (and I actually played Peppermint Patty in a high school musical - go ahead and joke). I just don’t particularly care for the Christmas album - not really my cup of tea musically speaking.
