Christmas Eveku

December 24th, 2006 by Atomictumor

“The presents were tucked
Under the chimney with care…”
That doesn’t sound right.

Yes, I remembered
Sunday tradition of yore
That I’ve neglected

So this is my gift
To whoever receives it
On this eve of mas.

A haiku of peace
Acceptance, understanding
Of love, one and all

For friends, family
Strangers all over the place
Or something like that.

    Christmas Eve morning,
    Let’s return the broke table,
    And beat Christmas crowds!

    Amen Bosphorus
What shall we use to beat them?
    I vote whips and chains!

Merry Christmas, AT, to you and your fellas! Don’t forget, now, for New Year’s Eve you have to eat one grape for each clock strike when midnight rings out. And then go to bed in red underpants. This is a custom I adopted from the Spaniards while I lived in Spain, and if anyone knows about grapes and red underpants, it’s the Spaniards.
All the best form my family to yours!
