I don’t know specifically about Oak Ridge, but here in Knoxville a lot of churches have food pantries. You might try calling around to a few of the biggest ones there to see if they do as well.

yup, a church food pantry is a good idea. and you are in luck - there is a church on every corner here in OR.

the 4 year old of our house refuses to clean up even when we ARE looking. all in the name of “i don’t want to.”

AT the Christian Outreach church on the east end of the turnpike, (next to the Social Security office) has a food pantry that serves local people…and you won’t have to make much of an effort driving very far.

You can check and see if there’s a “Meals on Wheels” around your area and see if they prepare their own food. Since they’re on wheels, they can pick it up. Score!

Treo 650! ;) OK, I’ll quit spamming…but you can pull down your email with ‘em, take pictures of crap in the store you meant to buy later, integrate your to-do list with your calendar…the damn thing does everything but serve up Martian Death Rays in traffic. Which would be swell. Maybe I should write the Palm people with that as a suggestion for later models.

Hon, of course you’re doing the bare minimum at work. If anyone’s hollering at you to do more, well, screw ‘em. I think you’re doing great to show up and be reasonably upbeat. Sounds to me like you’re being a bit hard on yourself, expectations-wise.
