No way. Frankly I don't like seeing the clip just prior to his hanging, when the guys are preparing him for the gallows. The whole thing is in poor taste. We don't want that kind of undemocratic blood on our hands. Doesn't take like decades for a person to be actually executed in our country? It is sort of like lighting a match in a grain elevator on a dare. But I still wonder what legitimacy is gained by a new goverment trying in their own court the old government with out a single cry of conflict of interest. No doubt, Saddam Hussien is a bad dude. I can not say from my western moral high ground whether he should have hung or rotted in jail. But in some way we are all married to the situation as people in my family and many other families are serving in that country. I wish I hadn't, as it left me disturbed throughout the evening and ruined my night's sleep (my teething 2-year-old had competition). I used to have dreams of my own execution, all varying in theme/method... hanging, electric chair, swallowing pills etc. (never got to the point of death though) But it brought back that sick feeling of fear. (See everything's about me ;)But no, I don't think it's a very classy thing to do, to show any part of this on a national news broadcast, however. I don't mean to offend, but my opinion is that the American Government should really tend to their own matters at home, rather than trying to play Rescue Hero, or whatever it is they're trying to do over there. Get control of some oil maybe? Ok, I'll be quiet now... must be the Hot Toddy getting me all hot under the collar... Happy New Year AT and all...hope you're peaceful tonight AT at the party you're at... Funny, even though it's good to be on your own, and I am one who fully understands that craving for 'aloneness' and liking your own company... despite all that, I'm glad you're with people tonight.
