Great story.

There are good medical reasons for circumcision. And you'll remember it more clearly if you wait till later--I suggest getting them when you're a newborn.

Yep I love birth stories. Thanks for sharing with us!

And I'm glad that my husband accompanied my son for his circ instead of me.....I didn't want to see it.

Man, if I doff out a boy next time I'm going to request some med for him before they whack. I've been told that it's acceptable to dope a newborn if he's getting cut.
Anyway. Awesome story. Also neat about ASHER being Jacob's 2nd son in the Bible.....

Sounds like we may even have more similarities, AT. Great story. Anyway, I've got picture of introducing T to JT. The look on the elder siblings face is priceless to say the least. JT had a great time with MaastaG last night. So glad you all could make it.

Wow... another blue-ribbon story, to be certain. You obviously handled the sibling intro better than I did; when Hubby brought Alpha (age 2) to the hospital to meet newborn Beta, I took Beta out of the little bassinet with a plexiglas top and showed her, sitting on my bed.

Alpha looked at me and with a serious expression said, "put it back in the box and close the lid."

Love the stories. I kind of wish I could peek into the future to see Gabe and Ash when they "discover" them.

Priceless

"Put it back in the box and close the lid"
HA!

And yeah, Bullet, I forgot to mention that about Asher being Jacob's son in the bible. My Dad called me up like two weeks after we told him the name, and told me that. Freaky coincidences, if thats what you believe in.

I know a fellow up in New England that's around thirtyish named Asher. It's a really cool name.

Certainly enjoyed reading this, AT. I've been thinking lately when I see pics of the kids how much they both look very much like their mom, but in different ways individually.

What a great story! When I was pregnant the OB SWORE that the baby was a girl. I found out a week before my due date that we were actually going to have a little boy. It sure does mess with your mind a bit having to switch your thinking from "it's a girl" to "it's a boy". But he is the greatest thing in my life now...

Happy New Year!

What a great story AT. I never knew Ash's birth story. I agree 100% about the circ issue. There isn't a reason for it and it's a damn shame they do it still. One of the reasons I pulled out of nursing clinicals btw. I'm glad you were there to comfort him. So many are done with no one in the room. Your a good Dad like that though.

You are the keeper of the stories now for the boys. It's good that you write them down. A historian of their lives so far. You are really good at telling a story too. Is Gabe's birth story on the site somewhere? I've read a lot of the site and working my way through it but haven't seen that story so far. You alluded to it being very difficult. Can you point me in the right direction if you have wrote about it? Otherwise, you should! Sumgurl was right. We girls totally love a birth story.
