You obviously handled the sibling intro better than I did; when Hubby brought Alpha (age 2) to the hospital to meet newborn Beta, I took Beta out of the little bassinet with a plexiglas top and showed her, sitting on my bed. Alpha looked at me and with a serious expression said, "put it back in the box and close the lid." Wow… another blue-ribbon story, to be certain. When I was pregnant the OB SWORE that the baby was a girl. I found out a week before my due date that we were actually going to have a little boy. It sure does mess with your mind a bit having to switch your thinking from "it's a girl" to "it's a boy". But he is the greatest thing in my life now... Happy New Year! What a great story! I never knew Ash's birth story. I agree 100% about the circ issue. There isn't a reason for it and it's a damn shame they do it still. One of the reasons I pulled out of nursing clinicals btw.
