Later in college, I picked up pipe tobacco, which gave the same release, on into grad school. Finally, my wife made me give it up. Good for my health, no doubt, but there is something abstract and unworldly to the experience of the aromatic tobacco in your nose and the nicotine swimming through your bloodstream.
