Happy birthday! If OR were closer to Kville, I'd offer you a beer.

Which is kind of like saying "I would give you something, but I'm not going to." Not really that nice, actually.

Happy Birthday --

Just stumbled back in wondering about this Oak Ridge story in my local paper's Sunday edition. This doesn't have anything to do with the new Target in town, does it?

Husband tries to electrocute wife, police say
OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (AP) – Police responding to screaming 911 calls broke down the door of a home and captured a man who may have been preparing to electrocute his wife by throwing her into a bathtub of water containing electronic appliances.

Travis G. Crowley, 27, hit his wife, Shannon Crowley, 25, in the head with a tire iron, forced her into a vehicle and drove her to the couple's home Thursday night, Oak Ridge Police Capt. Alan Massengill said.

There, he allegedly filled the bathtub and placed a hair dryer, DVD player and curling iron in it with their cords dangling outside the tub, Massengill told The Knoxville News Sentinel in story published online Friday.

Police raced to the home after Shannon Crowley made repeated 911 calls on a portable phone shortly before 10 p.m. All dispatchers heard on the calls were screams, Massengill said.

Officers kicked open the front door and Shannon Crowley came running out.

"He was taking her in that direction (to the bathroom)," Massengill said. "He apparently was going to throw her in the tub and plug those appliances in."

Crowley ran to the kitchen and threatened suicide with a steak knife. Officers disabled him with a jolt from a Taser. He was taken to a hospital overnight and then moved Friday to Lakeshore Mental Health Institute in Knoxville for evaluation, Massengill said.

Why is it that all Aquarians like to lay low on their birthdays? Birthdays contain CAKE, people!

Seriously, AT, happy birthday. I wish we could all take you out for cake and beer.

Hoser! Grandma was trying to call you and couldn't get through, presumably because you were fiddling with your cell phone.

Tell MastaG to get his lazy little runt arse off the computer and go play with people. Fogies like us have an excuse to be on the computer, but he needs to be outside.
