Ever regret a decision shortly after making it? Well, not really regret, so much, as realize that you probably backed the wrong pony?
Thats how I’m feeling now vis a vis my formerly sick son, Pigpen. He was droopy and poopy and hard to get rolling this morning, and while he didn’t have a temp, I figured he was still worn down from being sick over the weekend, so I kept him home.
He is currently playing in his Thomas tent, after smiting bad guys. Very much not sick.
But, I bought the ticket, I’ll take the ride. I’ll be home, on a Monday, logged into the office, while he fights bad guys and tries to be quiet. I’ll make the boy take a nap later on, that’ll show him…

Hey, those upgrades never quite got made… I put them in the Quiet Room tho, and seeing as how nothing died or broke or exploded I should be able to apply em to the ‘Tumor shortly. Not that it’ll, y’know, look any different out there on your computer, so its kinda moot.
What isn’t moot is that, currently, in Oliver Springs, TN, not 20 miles to the north of my fair domicile, is an infusion of computer badassness. Got me a Athlon X2 3400, a nice new motherboard (with optical audio, for that true 5.1 experience, oooo), and something else that I don’t quite remember - Oh yeah, its a video card, a bitchin new video card, just rip rarin’ for some things to.. uh… display, or something.
Anyway, the dual core desktop’nness will be happening today, so maybe its not a bad thing that I’m home with Pigpen, eh?
