Keep Bos in your thoughts, guys. He had to return to work today after a lovely 3-week paternity leave.
I have had my concerns over what life would be like with me & four kids at home. I’ve been anticipating a very dirty house, plenty of takeout, and no time to take a shower. Today, I’ve been pleasantly surprised as both the vacuum and the sound of the shower eased Leo into naps, Lugnut took a nap himself, and it seems like dinner won’t be a problem (tuna helper, but dinner nonetheless).

Lugnut is very serious about his trains.

Leo’s going to start smiling soon. I can’t wait!

Hey — tuna helper is not cheating for dinner — it counts!

My parents raised five children. I’m the oldest. Tuna helper and hamburger helper were mainstays in my house growing up. With the hamburger helper, we also included hamburger extender (=soy). We also used powdered milk (exclusively) and bisquick. Then there were the trips to the day-old bakery.
My wife and I will have enough money to retire on because of the thrifty habits and cuisine learned in my parents’ kitchen.

Once upon a time I had 3 little ones at home and took in 2 more to babysit for $$ to be able to stay there. A good schedule was my best friend.
Cheers to you! Everyone looks happy and healthy.

Amen to thrifty habits, Joel, and schedules, VA B.
Second day at work is going much better than first. The first was crazy.

Percy is my favorite too. He’s not as pompus as that Gordon or as sickly as Henry.

Sorry the full-time bread winner had to go out to earn some… bread that is. I wish I was there to lend a hand. Those little squirts sure are cute!

Oh yeah, I forgot to add the new one, Leo is it? Sure does look like me; no hair, lots’a wrinkles and a sort of distant, far-off stare.
