On the following of instructions
Saturday, February 24th, 2007OK, so remember when I upgraded the ‘tumor last week? Remember how I talked about doing it, and being careful, and taking my time, and testing it in the Quiet Room first? Yeah?
Well, I lied.
And yesterday it turned out that all you luddites using IE and feedreaders (thinking you’re so cool) weren’t getting anything that came off the press after the upgrade. I, using Firefox, had no problem.
Well, I tinkered, and tonkered, and messed around, trying to figure out this problem, and finally went back to following the directions.
Namely, step 3 or something of the upgrade process - delete the old files, rather than overwrite them.
I did that about 5 minutes ago, and it appears to be full on working.
It seems a shame that these days, I’m finding myself screwing up so much, with no BJ to laugh at me and call me a dumbass. Sigh. You guys go ahead and do it, and I’ll tell you who’s doing the best job.
