Saturday possibilities

March 24th, 2007 by Atomictumor

I love Saturday mornings.  I like to get up, fix my 2 cups of coffee, and some oatmeal and biscuits for me and the boys.  They watch some cartoons (lately its been Ben 10, they’re big fans of that) for the rest of the morning.

Problem is, we’re usually at a loss of what to do.  I’m forcing them outside now, because its too damn nice, but they’re protesting.  Pigpen has a mighty pout on his face, as he holds his new lightsaber, and MastaG’s grouching as he gets his clothes on.

I’m going to take a shower, and then we’ll try to figure the rest of the day out.

Yesterday, BTW, we went out to see the TMNT movie, and, although I remember how irritating the whole Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle thing was back in the 80s and 90s, I found the movie to be pretty damn good.  Certainly, the animation is among the best computer animation that I’ve seen, and one of the beauties of the movie was the fact that it didn’t make you sit back though the whole origin story.  Thats refreshing.  Man, if you don’t know how 5 foot tall turtles emerged in the NYC sewer system learing Ninjitsu, you probably don’t care.

You are a good daddy. Fresh air is the best medicine for children, running, playing and digging. Computers are wonderful but kids need fresh air and sun, keeps them healthy and happy.

When I saw that TMNT was up for a redo I was kind of skeptical. Like, “get your own pop culture you freak’n young people…” But, as I see the quality of the redo (some of them but not all) I am ok with it.
