Haiku 2

Damned, damned lawn mower
On you I spent afternoon
Spark plug, air filter

Murray support sucks
But, like VA’s, it was free
So I dug and dug

Eventually
I found the damn manual
On the internet

Bought the crap I need
With Pigpen at Home Depot
Ogled new mowers

But I was loyal
To that thrice damned lawn mower
Changed everything out

Once done, it started
Promptly on the 13th pull
Erupted black smoke

Ran fine, standing still
But when I pushed it, it stalled
Got half the lawn done

It took stops and starts
And now my arm kinda hurts
And my foot hurts too

I think its done now
Might just set it on fire
I kicked it real hard.

    shoutboxing ’bout new mowers
    Might have jinxed old ones.

    Or water in gas?
    Moisture in tank makes sputters
    Empty gas/Buy new.

    (If gas is from last year may have collected moisture over winter. I think you can use those gas treatment additives to dry it up if emptying is no good. -What do you do with emptied gas??)

    You just discovered why millions of people hire gardners. My problem is usually the weed wacker. I’ve had my gardner for many years now and find the money well spent!

    Clean the carb out with carb cleaner…. Might be sticking a bit. it is metal — it won’t burn — well the plastic will.
