Well, just a few more days to go while the kids are on spring break, and things are working pretty well. Its an interesting challenge of my single parenthood to be able to put up with the kids in a smallish house for 3 days.
Sort of an endurance test.
Luckily, unlike the Cemestos people, the specter of sick has not passed over us. 3 weeks, kids home, and people puking, well, that’d be a whole other thing.
I’d like to announce that we did a lot of really cool things during spring break, but, we didn’t. Other than the concert, and a movie, these three weeks have been pretty much bland, but I like it that way.
Gotta go, I just remembered that I like coffee in the mornings…

THREE weeks!!
WOw!
I get a week in Feb and a week in April.
My DH (also a teacher) gets a week in March.
I think I’d forget the way to work in three weeks.

Its getting to the point where its like trudgery. The kids are bored, all they want to do is watch TV or play computer games. It was rainy this morning, so couldn’t send them outside.
I set up the tent in the living room last night for them to sleep in, so my living room is now dominated by a big ass tent and all of the junk accumulated around it.
Sigh.

Living room camping is fun!
Especially without kids.

we camped in our living room for like 3 years. of course, that was because our kids had taken up all the bedrooms.

You’re a fine dad! Our spring break at the farm starts tomorrow and they’re off next week. Wish you could ship those boys down our way.

Yes, you are a good dad. The kids seem happy (all kids get bored) and well.
Delta wanted to go home with you after dinner, but I figured you didn’t need one more tv-watching video gamer underfoot… and she has school tomorrow.
