I’ve never successfully scared the hiccups out of anybody. I’m beginning to wonder if that’s just a myth.
Still fun to try, tho…

Good luck with that.
I don’t get hiccups. I get hiccup. Once that happens, I change my breathing pattern, and I never get the second hiccup to pluralize it. Pisses my wife off.

Somehow I’m not surprised, Joel. Even with hiccups you stand out from the common man, person, monkey, avg bear., whatever.
I like scaring people. It’s so much fun. That and tripping October.

I stand out because I piss my wife off?
I don’t think I have a monopoly on this ability. Just because you haven’t tried it doesn’t mean that there isn’t some gratification to be had from the effort.
We’ll have been married 30 years in August. I think the investment in aggrevation has been worthwhile.

Wasn’t it originally spelled “hiccoughs”?

No Joel, you misunderstood. Perhaps you hiccuped when you read my comment.
You stand yourself out because you only hiccup and just once at time.
That was the point of your comment, that you only hiccup once, right?

It was. I’m not sure how infrequent that ability is, either. Perhaps more frequent than tripping October.
