Dude, that address is just a couple of blocks from my house. Weird. I never drive down that street, but I frequently go w/in a block of it. It's just a residential neighborhood. A kinda poor residential neighborhood.

It must be a frat house or something, and they've hired a band.

Weird. I'm going to have to drive by there after work to figure out what it is.

Scout it out for me man. Why don't you and the missus head over with me? You'd probably like the music.

The missus doesn't do anything with cigarette smoke, seeing as how she's in the family way. And we tend not to do concerts on week nights.

But it's worth thinking about since it's so close and all.

I can walk to that house from here. In fact, I think I will, just to get a look at what a place calling itself beast warz house would be. I wouldn't actually call this neighborhood poor, more like lower middle class. And a lot depends on the house. Anyway, it's as safe as anywhere so you don't need to be afraid to come by after dark. ;-)

How was the show? What was it like in a random house?

Leslie - I would've called it upper lower class, but whatever. I drove by the other day, and it was a random white house with a porchswing. It's zoned residential, which means Rob Frost would probably be interested to hear about it.

And as a weird omen, when I drove by, a cat was walking slowly across the yard, with a massive, stiff dead bird in its mouth.

I drrove by it yesterday too--it certainly didn't look at all like a place where something intersting was about to happen!

Upper lower class. Hmm. Since we live in the neighborhood (which my husband is not as fond of as I am) we were trying to come up with an objective description and settled on "mixed."

Well, I live in the neighborhood, too, you know. Although I guess I technically live in the next neighborhood over. Cecil is definitely not an ideal street to live on. But you're right. That neighborhood has a mix. Some streets are small, ugly houses, and some are turn of the century craftsman.

But I thought you lived off of Washington Pike.

Jon,

You get to say you live in ONK, though, which sounds a lot better than "Whittle Springs," or to be technical "Coker Addition" (not that anyone but me knows that's what it's called, but I digress . . .). We actually live ON Washington Pike, not far up either. I kind of consider the "neighborhood" to include everything up to Cecil (not that I want to claim parts of that, for sure) and across to Whittle Springs. We do have a neighborhood association, but it goes in the "nicer" direction, from Washington Pike to Emoriland.

And our house is one of the biggest in the neighborhood--a Queen Anne, 3000 square feet--but it definitely sports a lived-in look.
