Yes, yes you do make fun of golfers :)
BTW - I played my first round of the year on Wednesday and I had nary the urge to water the local flora.
Oddly, most golf courses wrap around so that the 18th is pretty close to the 1st hole. So they are probably doing this within a few yards of a bathroom. Un.be.lieveable.

You just insulted a good half of my extended family, AT. I’ll have to ask them about their urinary habits on the golf course.

I personally think this is all a bit on the funny side, but I have to wonder something. Why, if what Netmom says is true, is urinating in public an accepted practice among golfers? How do women golfers fit in?

Women golfers generally do not participate in this activity. Women are smart enough to go before they pass the restrooms on the 16th hole.

In fairness, not all men do. But caddying for my dad as a child, I learned the proper etiquette of *not* going into the woods to help any man find a “lost” ball.

(Disclaimer: Dad never went into the woods at all.)

Damn, golf is not dumb! The way I play golf is dumb but that is beside the point.

I have played a lot and can’t remember many rounds that I have not ventured off in the woods (because that is usually where my ball lands) and relieved myself. It wasn’t because I was drunk, I just had to go. But on the 18th? That makes no sense at all since the clubhouse is right there. These golfers must be really wasted …

Golf is a great game with a great history. This story has nothing to do with golf. It has to do with rude idiots that should know better than to pee within eyesight of a house.

While I haven’t played in a few years, I never had a problem finding a discrete place to relieve myself…I hit a lot of balls into the woods.
