I'm kind of amused that this post gets a "Poetry" tag... but I suppose there is a sort of poetry in local politics, or at least some similarities. Like the vast majority of both are bad and make people angry, but also can cause people to devote a lot of their creative energy to them... Okay, this metaphor isn't going very well. But anyway, hope the forces of good win out over the forces of evil.

I agree with you AT. People really don't understand the whole process and can be easily led. You have to hope they are led the right way.

Zapaper, I'd love to tell you that you're right and that there is a higher meaning to the poetry tag, but truth is, its right above the 'rant' tag, and I didn't notice until now that I clicked it.
But, uh, I like your explanation better.
Daco, the day has been so unbelievably irritating. Just so you know. I'm in full high blood pressure mode.

This is my thinking regarding the last part of the post.
There are some people who swear its the truth. However, nobody's coming up saying "She told ME this".
This is all political crap, and I'm not sinking to it, true or not, and I think those that have should, like, reevaluate stuff. Or something.

"reevaluate stuff. Or something..."

Now that is insight. This story is coming from too many directions. Tends to make one believe it. Couple that with the non-answer answer on the forums, the circumstantial evidences gets stronger. No direct evidence though, that is troublesome.

Maybe I am reading the forum wrong but I think quarterback said he/she heard it directly from her/his neighbors when talking about election. He/she was trying to explain that they could vote for more than one for the two offices. Am I reading this too black and white and am I missing some grey somewhere. Doesn't get clearer than that. I also do not see a direct yes or no to the question. What I see is political beating around the bush not to answer the question directly. Lots of analogies but no direct answer. Yes or No. Yes I might have said it. No I never told anyone to single shot me or any other candidate. Easy as 1,2 3.

Yeah, but isn't the political dirty business to make your opponent (who doesn't even apply to this conversation) deny something? By denying something ridiculous, it lends credence to it?
And somebody on the forums did mention speaking to somebody personally, but it is still third party, and I'm not buying it yet.

Aaah rats.

I was really admiring the way you all even have forums and such and thinking (for about a nanosecond; since I am a computer RETARD) that I should start something like that in my crooked little town.

But now I see that politics is politics all over the land and even having forums where the well informed (for the most part) meet to debate does not necessarily grant immunity from stupid political moves.

It just seems so futile....
