Strange dreams, hard nights sleep
on an uncomfortable bed
and a blocked up nose
May’s been a strange month
Kids getting out of school soon
A rebirth, of sorts
Memory Stick full

Cleaned out on lappy
Heading out downtown
Pigpen squeals with excitement

Started brand new job
Better pay, should help pay bills
Miss my old friends, though.
Bought this house last fall
half acre yard kicked my ass
when I tried to mow.
This year, not so much
Owning a house is hard work-
Getting strong feels good!

My hands smell of bleach
But the bathroom now sparkles
Small accomplishments
Trying cloth diapers
and making a new friend have
made this a nice week
Passed out yearbooks last
Friday; one of life’s many
bittersweet moments.

It’s humid outside
brought the pool out, spray the kids
with the water hose.
Wingnut is asleep
lie him in the crib easy
hope he takes a nap.
Wing is still asleep;
His first long nap in the crib.

the job is never done, though
paint, clean, fussing kids
tomorrow we rest
one more week of school to go
then we rest some more
