Odd times in Casa Tuma
Saturday, June 2nd, 2007So, MastaG, thanks to his sojourn as the hallway protecting, mirror shade wearing, hall pass enforcing safety patroller at his elementary school, is at the National Safety Patrol convention or something like that, up in balmy Washington D.C.
He left yesterday morning at around 6 AM, and I got a call from him in his hotel room (during which he talked with his friends more than me) last night around 7 or so. He sounded tired, but excited to be out there.
This leaves Pigpen and myself holding down the fort, and Pigpen spent the night last night with the in-laws. I ended up going out, getting back in at midnight, and having a lovely night of body aches and fevery goodness, and then a day today of feeling kinda crappy.
I picked up the Pigpen about an hour ago, and we’re going to have a tasty meal of steak, potatoes, and toast. I’d normally want to throw something green in there, but damned if I’m just too tired to argue with the boy, and he’s being such a sweetie today that he can have a greenless meal.
Outside today, theres the kinda grey bleak relentless humidity that goes well with back, shoulder, and leg pains. Woot!
