Its hot

July 10th, 2007 by Atomictumor

Man, its totally hot.

I forgot (for various reasons, that we don’t need to go into here) to take care of Bos and Eave’s dog at the approprate time, and remembered only after being at work for like 2 hours (in the office, that is).  I wigged, and took a quick break to give the dog a quick break, and on the way back to the car the humidity started making fun of me.

I could see my car, clearly, three rows down, but each step I took only made the car tilt awkwardly for a second and then right itself.  Oddly, it wasn’t particuarly hot (thus negating the first phrase of the post, sorry), but the souplike quality of the atmosphere lent itself to awkward times.  My legs were sweaty, my hair hanging down like a beaten dog by the time I finally got to the car.

Still, I took care of the dog, and then drank a quart of water.

I don’t like oppressive heat.

(dogs fine, btw)

Man, they’ve already paid you and you’re already neglecting their baby! Mabel and Lulu would have already ratted you out with their little doggie cellphones.

By the way, thanks for the nice comment… rough week last week. But, as I said in my last post about that, life goes on for the living. It’s just harder for some than it is others. But, then again, I’m preaching to the choir when I say that to you.

    Bad sitter, no beer.

I’ve never understood why anyone who isn’t either a student or a teacher likes the summer… It’s too hot to do anything outside, it’s muggy, there are tons of mosquitoes and other bugs, you have to join a health club if you want to get any exercise, sunscreen makes you feel sticky but if you don’t wear it you’ll burn, being sweaty sucks, summer clothes are mostly ridiculous (at least for women)… Can you tell I’m not a fan of summer?

Summer; much like a snowstorm, is fun to watch from inside (or on TV).

I agree with you about ridiculous summer clothes for women. It seems like you can either be halfway to naked or just be hot.

    sigh….

    Ahhh, its rainin’ now…

We need the rain, but I’ll be the odd one out: I love the Summer (and I’m neither a teacher nor a student).

I like having daylight until nearly 9 p.m.; I like not being cold. I like the dense canopy of leaves surrounding my deck. I like not having a chinese fire drill at 6:30 every morning trying to get everyone to school on time. I like being able to swim and dive (outdoors), and I like cooking outside over fire.

I don’t like mosquitoes or fleas, and I am particularly susceptible to sunburn, but there are potions for all of those.

(Yeah AT, I bought more mosquito spray, and I do know where it is. It’s safe to come back now.)
