My mind is elsewhere (perhaps out for a jog with the atomictumor brain).

August 16th, 2007 by Mrs Eaves

I’ve screwed up three times at work within the past week.  Two of the goofs were relatively minor and have been resolved.  The third is potentially a big headache, and I’m avoiding directly dealing with it, even though its unresolved status further stresses me out.

Yep, that’s about it.

Yikes. Sorry, babe. Remember, you always have help if you ask the right people…

Sorry you are stressed Eaves, but everyone screws up sometimes.

    Thanks guys.
Made a couple phone calls to address the problem, ate some comfort food (noodles with black bean garlic sauce - yum) and played with Wingnut. Feeling better now.

I made a mistake at work today, too… I was sending out a mailing that was supposed to have a reply card with it, but I guess I didn’t make that clear to the mail dude, because he sent out the mailing and the reply cards separately. Now I’m going to get hundreds of phone calls asking me where the reply card is. And all the reply cards are going to come back blank. And I’m going to have to re-do the whole thing. Sucks.

As someone with experience on the very same desk, I can attest to the issues you speak of. It would freak me out. So many happy resolves, while the big dark shadow of the difficult issue of the day/week loomed.

Also the desk seemed to kind of be going to shirt since the era of PK has set.

Just gotta pick up the phone and hit it head on. I know! Easier said then done.

Jeez, I sucked at that job.

Walking away from it has been cathartic. I highly recommend it.

Dude, I didn’t write this post. I got no beef with my job right now.
