My new favorite show

August 20th, 2007 by Atomictumor

I’ve been watching quite of bit of Flight of the Conchords.

Its like a Tenacious D thats actually funny, instead of loud and irritating. A New Zealand, lower key, talented, hilarious, horribly booked music duo.

You’d figure I have more to say about it.

I’ll just cheat with more YouTubage.

Tape of love, baby.

They also did an HBO comedy special last year, highlights of which are on YouTube. Favorite moments: “Business Time,” “Albi,” “Hiphopopotomamus vs. Rhymenoceros.” They’ve featured these songs on the show, too.

Total nerd disclosure: Jemaine was in a movie earlier this year called “Eagle vs. Shark.” Amazing.

  2. Suzanne Says:

Maybe it’s just the glasses, but does anyone else think that Jemaine Clement resembles Bos?

And, AT: Don’t be dissin on the ‘D’… Jack Black is my #1 piece of nerd eye-candy. I seriously enjoy that man. (Explains why I’m single, huh?)

    copycat.

  4. Mrs. Eaves Says:

Darn you people and your fancy cable television shows.

You need some chops like that, Bos.

  5. Atomictumor Says:

    Bos needs the chops.

Man, I just found out they were at Bonnaroo this year, and I totally missed it. Oh well. I’d say I was probably having fun elsewhere.

  7. Suzanne Says:

Eaves can document the progress of the chops for us!

Since you haven’t mentioned it, AT, did you know about this? (’Having fun elsewhere’ is my new favorite euphamism).:

  8. Bos Says:

They’re growing even as I type. Now whether I’ll keep them, or not….

  9. Catherine Says:

We saw ‘em at Bonnaroo. Well we we’re walking through the crowd and they walked past us with their film crew. I am guessing you might see us in the background if the bonnaroo episode ever shows. They haven’t said if it will be back for a second season yet. So we should all brag on it as publicly as possible.

  10. Atomictumor Says:

Yeah, I read today that they’re going to have a second season. Woot!

Just yesterday, I too put a clip of FOTC on my blog. I just discovered them and am totally in love.

Mr. Tumor, I know this is way off topic but I was looking for some info on an email I received from Comcast, text of email to follow.

The real bitch of it is I didn’t even download the whole movie, never watched it and deleted the .torrent at once. In fact I don’t even think it was the movie it claimed to be.

Anyway, I noticed you had a similar experience about a year ago and thought you might have some insight into what I should do, or not do. I’m leaning towards doing nothing at all.

“Comcast has received a notification by a copyright owner, or its authorized
agent, reporting an alleged infringement of one or more copyrighted works made
on or over Comcast’s High-Speed Internet service (the ‘Service’). The copyright
owner has identified the Internet Protocol (’IP’) address associated with your
Service account at the time as the source of the infringing works. The works
identified by the copyright owner in its notification are listed below. Comcast
reminds you that use of the Service (or any part of the Service) in any manner
that constitutes an infringement of any copyrighted work is a violation of
Comcast’s Acceptable Use Policy and may result in the suspension or termination
    of your Service account.”

There was more but you get the gist.

    Tape of Love…
    Deeep!!

Also an NYC bus will never leave the doors open and let you run and hop on.

No, your sorry ass will be left on the sidewalk no matter what the weather.

    The subway is way better.

Are these the guys who did “The Humans are Dead?” If so, hooray, because they are absolutely hilarious!
