Thank you, Orlando police department, for furthering the cause of the New World Order by judiciously tazering some poor bastard who might have asked one or two more questions.
Despite his pathetic cries of “Don’t tase me, bro”, you illustrated precisely why people should stick to their alloted time limit on the microphone.
Because you’re gonna f—ing tase them. They ain’t no bro of yours.

He Dude, better get out the editing stick. This was in Gainsville at the U of F and done by Campus police. The chief however is named Orlando.
Neither of which are near Orlando Florida.

It’s hard to believe that something like this could be happening in this country.
I am totally disgusted.

He probably had on a UT shirt.
It is of major concern. It appeared he had the floor, the Senator was willing to answer the questions though the allotted time had elapsed. Totally unnecessary. U of F will be paying bunches of bucks over this little incident.

This is happening more and more often, officers pulling out the taser on a routine basis for seemingly any reason. Taser guns do not fall into my definition of “necessary force” unless under the most extreme circumstances.

Oops, you’re right, Jacket…

Understandable, this stuff can piss you off to where things get muddled.

Gosh, I can almost see both sides of this. As a person who has to do public speaking in front of crowds of sometimes angry people (Ever been to a public hearing on an unpopular rezoning issue?) I would like to believe that I am protected if someone was to get violent… A time limit is just that, and this guy seems to have been trying to cause a disturbance for attention more than anything else. If he had gone postal and injured John Kerry, everyone would have been critisizing security for not protecting the Senator. That said, I think that tazers are horribly overused. There are many cases of people being killed by them without reason… If I had a family member who was deaf, or unable to respond to police for some other reason I would be terrified for their safety.

So, why not taser anyone being rude?
