Waking at a new old place
Crazy plans forming
As the leaves drop down
The world starts playing ‘possum
And you think clearly
Thoughts go to last year
The last few days with BJ
Before the sickness
Thoughts of tomorrow
They come just as easily
With a girl I love
The girl in the past
Her memories sooth my heart
A smile of youth
Girl in the future

There was one point when
I wondered if I fed her
bad pepperoni
That seems silly now
sounds like a dorky band name
