I am not a poet. I didn’t know it. So, so many congratulations. AKA, Fishnet, Ladyfriend, thank you for loving AT and the boys. I think they thought they were ok. But I think they needed your love. AT, thanks for loving her too. I’m going out tonight to have a drink, and will all alone by myself, toast to your new life together. Because, well why not? No better reason to have a celebratory drink, than perfect strangers falling in love!

And to think I found the ring at the bottom of a box of Lucky Charms… but don’t tell the ladyfriendfiancee that!
This sounds redundant, but congrats and know that even total strangers are thrilled to see your very happy beginning. I know your road, and I know all the conflicting thoughts, very illogical guilt, and mixed feelings that come with your happiness… I still feel them too, sometimes. I read your Open Letter to Tori and cried a little. If I wrote that it would have to be to Stevie Ray Vaughn, because he was EBs fave. SRV and his 500+ songs are still in my Itunes and now I can finally listen and remember something other than his memorial service. In the beginning, not so much, all I could see was his hawaiian shirt with an urn sitting on it, and some good cigars and an ice cold Corona, the essence of EB. Now the soundtrack has just become a flashback to another part of my life, like the BeeGees are a not so good reminder of 8th grade, and the B-52s bring back mental pictures of Graduation. Life divides for us widow/widowers, and you now know that she is the love of this life. Treasure this chance, and remember that for all the pain we of the tribe of loss are lucky in a strange way. Not everyone gets to have true love come into their lives twice. Hell, some people don’t even get it once! Blessings on you all! Mazel tov!
She’s been demoted. The ring needs to be resized, and there was a little rattle-rattle-rattle in the big rock, so I had to take it back to the shop to be worked on.
Until then, she’s just back to ladyfriend status.
I know you’ve never seen my “face” around here, but a few days ago I started going through your archives and working my way to present time. My mom is one of your internet friends (Califdudes) and she wouldn’t let me live another second without reading them. (Lol, jk mom), but I am so glad I did. Thank you for giving us [your readers] this opportunity to be a part of your life. Your stories have touched me. I am SO glad you have found love again. Can you imagine love like that twice in your life! Wow. I am so glad she meshes so well into your beautiful family and I can’t wait to hear many more happy stories as your new family evolves. ; )

I am glad that she finally read your archives because according to her lastest post (http://projectmommy.wordpress.com) she has been thinking I lost my mind for the last year. Also this will give her arm a break from all that twisting I have been giving it.
You know, you are the luckiest human being on the earth. You have found love twice in a lifetime. Most people don’t find it once. Congratulations and good luck. I found it twice in a lifetime and this time I knew what to do with it. I hope that your days together are as happy and sweet as my days with Paul. And I hope AKA can handle the stepmom thing better than I did.
