Christmas Eve Eve Haiku

The tree doth explode
Spills Christmas into the room
Such strange traditions

No time to savor
But the needful is achieved.
And our jobs are done

BJ’s phone was stole
But they didn’t steal the bill
Three hundred dollars

My back door is fixed
And an offer has been made
Loose ends get tied up

Lady’s long work week
Dims her appreciation
That I’m off 4 days

Its Christmas Eve Eve
And these days are the good days
Unless you’re a tree

Happy Festivus!!!
I forgot it was today
Should make tonight fun…

    Our tree is happy
    It has fulfilled its duties
    Way to go, lil’ tree!!

  2. Bullet Says:

    I see mighty Bisc
    Towers over the others
    Good job, eldest son

  3. Jane Says:

  4. girlfriend Says:

    ALL WE NEED IS SNOW

  5. Bisc Says:

Good looking tree big guy! Really like the packages. Hay, how did you get my HDTV in such a small box??

  6. Joel Says:

    While I was at work
    The festivus tree went up.
    Packages beneath.

    I still can’t convince
    My lovely, talented wife
    To be different.

    Every family
    Should own its own traditions,
    Music, comfort food.

    After thirty years
    Our holiday tradition
    Is still evolving.

    When our only child
    Finds somewhere else for Christmas
    We can ditch the tree.

  7. Summers Says:

    alone for christmas
    cheap chablis, disneyland mug
    i read book, cat sleeps

  8. Mrs Eaves Says:

    Bos and I wanted
to drive around in the ‘Ridge
    Christmas light hunt

    Heater on, slow drive
Wing and Lug didn’t last long
    Snores from the backseat

    October and Spotz
    anxiously fidgeted like
    toddlers in a church

    “Can we go home now?
It’s almost seven - time for
    Funny Videos!”

    Dueling traditions
    Christmas lights and AFV
    We made our way home

    Christmas came early
In our household, by a day.
    Presents devoured.

    Our small living room
    Looks like Christmas puked on it;
    Time for vacation.

    Leaving to travel
    Tomorrow on Christmas Day,
    Visit my in-laws.

    We went overboard
on our kids, just like last year…
    Lacking common sense.

    By the way AT,
The presents were a big hit.
    Hope your kids like theirs.
