Wing’s Birthday Haiku

January 13th, 2008 by The Bosphorus

Wing’s birthday haiku.
no eggs, milk, plenty of spice
Vegan cake is good!

Wing is tired now.
Not old enough for coffee.
Maybe it’s nap time

Missus took Lug out;
so quiet, so quiet when
just one kid is gone.

I hear Wing crying.
Soon he will be too big, too
old to walk to sleep.

    An “ok” week gone
    An exciting week to come
    Can’t wait to start it.

    AT’s been real sick
With a bug in his tummy
    Kept him in the bed

    A bit better now
Just weak from not eatin’ much
    Bad ol’ bug drained him

    Ate a good breakfast
    Got a new waffle iron
    A big THANKS, Bullet!

    Boys were bouncin’ round
    After a real yummy meal
    Starting to wind down

    Began wedding plans
Gonna be a lot to do
    Will be worth the work

    “The date?” you’re asking?
I suppose we can tell you
    March 22

    Bought a king-size bed
And a nice frame to fit it
    Will be here Tuesday!!

    Happy Birthday, Wing!
We hope it was a great ONE!
    Sorry we missed it

    Really didn’t want
To share the tummy bug with
    Cemestos Gardens

    Oh.. I meant to say,
AT will be back here soon
    I held up my end.

    The stomach sickness
Laid me down low this weekend
    Oh, have mercy, gut

    Coming out of it
Laid on the couch with the gal
    Cuz we have no bed

    But Tuesday we will
    Big ass king sized masterpiece
    Made of pure comfy

    Don’t see the big deal
    President takes three weeks off
    No one seems to mind

    My Gal writes haikus
Babies me when I am sick,
    Fixes tasty meals

    She dances with me
    And relates with my children
    Tucks them in at night

    Eyes glitter at me
    When our heads are together
    And we speak of love

    She’s the one for me
Feels like she always has been
    And I love her so

    Vegan cake tastes good.
    That’s what I’m talking about.
    Don’t need animals.

    Happy Birthday Wing.
    You feel better soon, AT.
    22 comes soon.

    (You have to read that
    22 as twenty-two,
    not twenty second.)

    House on the market
Still looking for a new one
    Learning good habits

    Cemestos Gardens
The only home we’ve known since
    October was born

    We’re ready to go
I think we outgrew this place
    a few years ago

    Leaving will be hard
    but I’m enjoying the thought
    of new adventures

  5. Jane Says:

    Ah new adventures!
New loves, new beds and New Years
    Fresh, clean, exciting!
