Yesterday haiku
Sunday, February 10th, 2008We had some pancakes
We drank our morning coffee
And she went to work
The boys and I left
Spending at Mams and Papaws
I stayed for a spell
Then I ran errands
Well, one errand, I suppose
Replace a trombone
Confusion, a bit
From Middlebrook to Western?
Ladyfriend called me
It was glorious
Windows down with music on
Reached destination
Empty music store
And I had nothing to do
So I played guitars
Half hour or so
I took off, back to the ‘ridge
The spirit moves me
Work lunch with my gal
A tasty Wendys burger
We talked and we laughed
The id3 tags
Were the rest of my evening
Keeping files neat
And then she came home
We embraced and had a drink
Then we went to bed
I woke with such peace
Sun rising, deer in backyard
Loving everything
Dude, its days like these
That center you and fill you
And the ones you love
