It’s her life, not mine

I try to smooth out
my rough edges, my anger
my self-righteousness

reminder of eighteen years
that pass so quickly.

bro’s big birthday was
celebrated with music
of own creation.

sounds of symphony
echoed changes of his life
boy grows into man.

Warm air, daffodils
pushing up to sun remind
that Spring’s almost here

Redneck yard looks good
after cleaning and dump run.
Garden prep begun
