Sushi Newfish

I’m pouring one out on the curb for my man’s fish, Sushi Newfish.

He was a good betta, I guess.

Words just cannot describe the depths of my sorrow.
    Ya gotta remember the homies.

Having been the grand-mama of 2 or 3 (thousand) Sushi Newfishes (or Marlottas, Nephritides, Ariel, etc) bettas, I must say I, like jenwright, am overwhelmed with sorrow. I just hope you didn’t have to bury it.

My son’s beta will be just about a year old in April. We call him Elmo. The fish, not my son. Its red. Its grown to a pretty meaty two-inches long. I’ve thought it was going to die a few times now, but the thing keeps coming back.

    I hope you played taps.

That’s a very colorful storm drain.

LOL!! “I hope you played taps.”
hoo that was a good one.

We got a Beta in a Margarita glass almost 4 years ago now (centerpiece at a dinner we attended. I didn’t really want it but I hated to think that someone would just throw it out.) It just won’t die. We’ve got another one in a regular tank that’s almost 2 years old.

How long did good ole Sushi last?

  7. aka Ladyfriend Says:

Sushi was my brother’s fish. He was a replacement for another betta, who died because of a nasty fungus. I think he was about year old, but you never know how old they are when you get ‘em. He was very interactive and loved his people. Sushi will be missed greatly.

Yes, I thought it was neat when the fish would swim over to whatever side of the tank you were on. My teen pretends they are kissing. (hmmm…)

The one in the Margarita glass (which is on our dining room hutch) is always on the “people” side of his glass whenever we are at the table eating. It’s like he’s watching us.

I never thought fish could be like that but it is really cool.
