The music of my afternoon

Monday, March 17th, 2008

Spotz sounds like a gimpy elephant stumbling around the house. I cringe and hope that Wing can sleep through the scattered thuds, thumps and bonks.

October joins me at the table, where she sits across from me and practices her newfound whistling skill. She only knows one note. She squeaks softly, eyes narrowed in concentration.

Lugnut is to my right, exploring a Thomas the Tank Engine website. Every once and a while, one of his many clicks results in success, and various toots and peeps erupt from the speaker.

Thud, squeak, toot. Thump-thump-thud, peep, squeak, peep. Toot, toot, bonk. This is the music of my afternoon.

Eek!

One of the houses we’ve been considering was just reduced by $10,000.  Eek!

My boring Friday morning is suddenly a little more exciting…

What time is it?

Early lunch with Wing

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

Wing and I are sharing an early lunch.  Canned soup.  He gets all of the pearl onions, because pearl onions give me a gross shiver.

A little problem.

A while back, I noticed that Camera Shy was getting Google hits on some….less than desirable….search terms. Curious to find out why, I clicked on some of the searches and found little tidbits like this:

Okay.

I don’t necessarily like folks searching for such lovelies ending up on my site, so I told Wordpress to block my site from all search engines. Lo-and-behold, the explicit searches keep coming (while legitimate searches are indeed blocked).

Can someone out there help me understand why this is happening, and perhaps even help me to fix it?
