The cats have missed us
We brought them treats to make up
For being away

We have come back home
To find that we have received
No important mail

Extremely bad pain
Issues from my rear right tooth
A third root canal?

Roofus and Patches
Have chosen to stay behind
Sleepless nights ahead

Thomas Dopplebock
Delicious Left-Hand Milk Stout
Duck-Rabbit Porter

Two ovaries and eight testicles lighter

We visited the farm this weekend and left the two chitlins there. It’s a nice, wholesome place, and the kids have plenty of room to run amok and they won’t be down each other’s throats. As much. It’s going to be weird around here for the next 4 days, not having the kids here. I plan on making AT move furniture and stuff. Sweet.
Today, we dropped the kittens off in BFE to have them fixed. $115 for all three to get the snip and a first round of shots. Not too bad. For us, I mean. Sucks for the cats. When I brought them home they were all bobbing and weaving around, high as a kite. Oddly enough, Popopolese (the female) seems to be recovering the fastest. They are all touchy feely and wanting masses of attention. Unfortunately we’re very busy people.

Additions to the family

Monday, June 5th, 2006

After asking everyone we know (as well as complete strangers at yard sales and grocery stores) and being told “I’ll think about it,” we’ve decided to keep *sigh* all three cats.
We listened to mama cat search fruitlessly for her kittens all night Saturday, and some of the day Sunday.  We sent one of them home with Jdub and Dusty yesterday.  We’ve made the living room and kitchen accessible to them.  And we would feel guilty splitting them up further.  When one cat is in the living room and can’t find the others, it mews until they come.  They each have distinctive personalities, including favorite napping spots.  (Couch for Popopolese, subwoofer for Pollux nee Apollo and behind the VHSs for Castor nee Notapollo.)
We figure if we shop smart (mostly at Big Lots) we can get by on fairly cheap litter and food.  After some searching on the ‘nets, we found a place that will spay/neuter and vaccinate all three for $190.  Also, if anyone has any advice or old cat-type trappings they’d like to donate, we’d appreciate it.
Everyone here at HQ seems to be thrilled with our new family members and that makes me very happy.DSC03854.JPG
