The music of my afternoon

Spotz sounds like a gimpy elephant stumbling around the house. I cringe and hope that Wing can sleep through the scattered thuds, thumps and bonks.

October joins me at the table, where she sits across from me and practices her newfound whistling skill. She only knows one note. She squeaks softly, eyes narrowed in concentration.

Lugnut is to my right, exploring a Thomas the Tank Engine website. Every once and a while, one of his many clicks results in success, and various toots and peeps erupt from the speaker.

Thud, squeak, toot. Thump-thump-thud, peep, squeak, peep. Toot, toot, bonk. This is the music of my afternoon.

Excited

We have one week left
The days are flying past us
Big day Saturday

Looking to the day
When friends and family come
A celebration

Fancy clothes for all
The band, food and booze are set
Decorations done

Photos done by Eaves
Last week, made excitement grow
Everyone looked great

Next haiku I write
I will have a new last name
I am excited.

Of course, we will share
the day with everyone here
No live webcast though.

Be patient next week
We might be a little late
Minds will be elsewhere.

Eek!

One of the houses we’ve been considering was just reduced by $10,000.  Eek!

My boring Friday morning is suddenly a little more exciting…

Two week haiku

March 9th, 2008

Everyone dressed up
In their twenties attire
And Eaves took pictures

No falls in the creek
And only one grass/dirt stain
It was successful

My, don’t we look sharp
Two zoot suits, one paperboy
And a gorgeous bride

The sun was happy
And beamed down on us coolly
Doesn’t look that cold

We’ve almost finished
We keep ourselves so busy
To speed up the time

Its a party, sure
And just a piece of paper,
But so exciting
